That’s why this November, The Kurrent is taking action.

Our founder, Kyle McCann is taking on one of the biggest challenges of his life—fishing every single day for 30 days straight, posting a new full-length YouTube video daily, and sharing a short daily podcast episode under Fishing for a Living. The goal? To raise awareness, funds, and conversation around men’s mental health and suicide prevention through the Movember Foundation.

Because this one hits close to home.

“I’ve battled clinical depression and anxiety for most of my life. Fishing has always been my outlet—my therapy. It’s given me purpose, peace, and perspective when I needed it most. That’s why I’m dedicating this month to something bigger than myself.”

This challenge isn’t just about being on the water every day. It’s about consistency, accountability, and growth—getting 1% better every single day. It’s about showing up even when you don’t feel like it. About choosing to fight The Kurrent, not drift away from it.

Throughout November, each day will bring something new:
A new fishing adventure
A full-length YouTube video on The Kurrent documenting the grind
A short daily podcast episode via Fishing For a Living with reflections and mental health takeaways
