Social media and the internet has made it easier than ever to connect with other anglers... But somewhere along the way, we stopped actually meeting them. We know each other by our Instagram handles, we've seen each other's PB's and we know what gear they use. But we don't REALLY know each other.

Dock Talk is an attempt to change that.

Why This Exists.

Over the last year, I've talked a lot about "community" and "culture". The problem is, they've both become buzzwords. Every brand you know says they're building one and every creator says they have one...

But a community doesn't exist because people follow the same Instagram accounts. It exists when strangers become friends over a shared passion or even an understanding of differences.

I've been lucky in life. Fishing has introduced me to some of the best people I know—guides, tournament anglers, people chasing a dream and others that I never would've met if I hadn't started talking at a boat ramp, a tackle shop, or taken a conversation from social media to the water.

And I think more of that needs to happen... So we're starting small; there's no tournament, no "seminar", no sales pitch. Just good people, cold beer, and hopefully, some new friends.

What to Expect

Meet fellow anglers from all aspects of fishing (All fishermen welcome)
Grab a beer from The Veil and some tacos (or my favorite, a carne asada quesadilla) from Y Tu Mama
Swap stories (Maybe even share some lies)
Hear a few lessons from local guests
Get a chance at giveaways from brands that believe in building community
Leave knowing a few more people than when you walked in
